We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Team Leader to join our dedicated care team. In this vital role, you will lead our team of support staff ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. Your leadership will foster a positive environment where our service users feel valued, safe, and well-cared-for. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing your leadership skills within a supportive setting.
Main tasks: (NB: this is not intended to cover every task in the role)
- You will be supervising the staff, allocating daily tasks, overseeing administration of medication, updating care plans and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards of care
- Lead and mentor our support workers assigning duties and managing priorities effectively.
- Monitor and deliver high standards of care tailored to individual support plans.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and care standards at all times
- Assist managers with staff inductions, appraisals, team meetings, and one-to-one supervisions.
- Act as a role model for excellent care practice
We are looking for someone who has the following skills:
- Proven supervising or leadership experience within a care environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively while maintaining high standards of care
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with service users and team members
- A genuine passion for care and making a difference
- Positive can-do attitude
