We are seeking a dedicated Workshop Forklift Engineer to join our team at Complete Material Handling. In this role, you will be the backbone of our workshop operations, responsible for the service, repair, and overhaul of a diverse fleet of material handling equipment. From standard counterbalance forklifts to specialized warehouse equipment, your expertise will ensure our fleet remains safe, reliable, and ready for action.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics & Repair: Fault-find and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a wide range of material handling equipment (gas, diesel, and electric).
- Routine Servicing: Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections to industry standards.
- Equipment Overhauls: Refurbish and prepare used machinery for resale or rental hire.
- Battery Maintenance: Inspect, test, and maintain electric forklift battery systems.
- Documentation: Complete accurate service sheets, parts requisitions, and compliance paperwork.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Mechanic, Agricultural Engineer, or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, internal combustion engines, and 24v–80v electrical systems.
- Qualifications: Relevant NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- Attributes: A methodical approach to problem-solving, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe workshop environment.

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
