Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized tutoring sessions focused on students' individual learning plans and specific needs related to special education.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support children with different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adapt lesson plans accordingly to ensure continuous development.
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment that promotes confidence, independence, and motivation in learners.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and educational professionals to share insights and coordinate support strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, session plans, and any relevant observations or concerns.
- Support the implementation of behavioral strategies and classroom routines that enhance student engagement and success.
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching children, particularly within special education settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children who have diverse learning needs or disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey concepts and collaborate with families and colleagues.
- Familiarity with various teaching methods tailored for SEN students, including visual aids, hands-on activities, and adaptive technologies.
- Prior experience working in educational environments that support inclusive learning practices is highly desirable.
