Hours: Monday–Friday, 7.30am–4.30pm
Saturday: Some Saturday mornings, 7.30am–11.30am, on a rota basis

We are now looking for an organised and reliable Office & Accounts Administrator to join our team.
The Role
This is a varied and important role supporting both our commercial and finance functions.
The successful candidate will work approximately 50% of their time supporting the Customer Account Controller, assisting with the accurate processing and management of daily customer orders, and 50% supporting the Financial Controller with a range of accounts and finance administration.
Accuracy, organisation and attention to detail are essential. The role involves working with customer orders, invoices, payments and financial information, so we are looking for someone who can work carefully and methodically while managing a busy and varied workload.
Main Duties
Customer Order Administration
- Assist the Customer Account Controller with the accurate processing and input of daily customer orders.
- Assist with taking customer orders by telephone and email.
- Provide a polite, professional and helpful first point of contact for customers.
- Ensure customer orders and product information are entered accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintain accurate customer and product information across company systems.
- Ensure customer and product information held within Sage 50 is accurately replicated within our food safety management system.
Accounts & Finance Administration
- Raise customer invoices and process credits using Sage 50 Accounts.
- Post and process purchase invoices accurately.
- Send customer statements on a monthly basis.
- Allocate customer payments and receipts accurately.
- Assist the Financial Controller with day-to-day finance and accounts administration.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with other finance and accounts-related tasks as required.
General Administration
- Maintain accurate and organised filing and general office records.
- Assist with general office administration as required.
- Provide support to other members of the office team during busy periods and holiday cover.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy when working under pressure and to deadlines.
- Undertake any other reasonable administrative duties required to support the smooth running of the business.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working as part of a busy team.
The successful candidate will have:
- A polite and professional telephone manner.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience using Sage 50 Accounts or similar accounting software would be an advantage.
- Previous invoicing, accounts administration or finance experience would be an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- A methodical and organised approach to their work.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A flexible and positive approach to work.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload.
- The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
