Mobile Fire Alarm Engineer
Midlands / South East (Ideal location: Milton Keynes, Aylesbury or Northampton area)
Salary from £40,000+ depending on experience + vehicle
A leading fire and security provider is seeking an experienced Mobile Fire Alarm Engineer to support several key client sites across the Midlands and South East.
The role will involve working across large and complex estates including healthcare, research and education environments, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure systems.
Engineers based around Milton Keynes, Aylesbury or Northampton would be ideally located for the coverage area.
The Role
You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, testing and fault finding of fire alarm systems across multiple client sites, ensuring systems remain fully compliant with industry regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of fire alarm systems
- Assisting with weekly fire alarm testing at key sites
- Reactive maintenance and fault diagnosis
- Working on Advanced Electronics systems and other addressable fire alarm systems
- Servicing and maintaining Gent, Kentec and other fire alarm systems where required
- Ensuring full compliance with BS5839 standards
- Completing service documentation and compliance reports
- Supporting minor system upgrades and small works when required
- Working closely with site teams within critical environments
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer
- Strong knowledge of BS5839 standards
- Experience working with Advanced Electronics systems
- Experience with Gent systems (training provided if required)
- Knowledge of Client / Cooper systems advantageous
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work across multiple sites and manage workload independently
