The Pastoral Support Assistant is part of our effective learning support programme, and we provide a staff mentoring and wellbeing scheme.
We are looking for a vibrant, engaged Pastoral Support Assistant to support our Pastoral Lead in supporting the delivery of our Pathway programme for our 16-19 cohorts.
One of your main roles will be to monitor and address attendance issues of our learners as there is a direct link between attendance and learner achievement.
You will be part of a unique strategy to empower our young learners to gain the vocational skills required for work and life.
We deliver these vocational subjects at Level 1 and Level 2.
You may be an established young persons support worker or looking for your first post in post 16 education and have the personality and drive to really connect with our learners.
As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will be responsible for nurturing and supporting our learners on a day-by-day basis. This is rewarding work and you can make a real difference to learners who may have SEN or have been out of education for a while.
This successful candidate will be employed on a contractual basis, 37 hours per week, term time only (plus two weeks) with the expectation of supporting at both our Southchurch and Leigh on Sea campuses as required.
There will be a requirement to attend team meetings, open evenings and take part in enrolment activities.

Term Time Only - Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm - Friday 9.00am - 4.30pm
