Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy 4 star resort kitchen team. Our operation includes three restaurants (Food Court, Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant, and Aspects Steakhouse), a coffee shop, and two large function kitchens supporting conferences, weddings, and events throughout the year.
This is an essential role within the kitchen, supporting chefs and helping to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Help with deliveries, stock rotation, and storage of supplies
- Dispose of waste correctly and support recycling procedures
- Ensure health & safety and food hygiene standards are always followed
- Support smooth service during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter is beneficial but not essential
- Willingness to work hard in a fast-paced environment
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
