Location: 58 Clarendon Road, Watford
Salary: £15.50–£17:00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm (40 hours)
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Chef to join our team at 58 Clarendon Road, Watford.
This is a hands-on cooking position rather than a Chef Manager role. Your main responsibility will be preparing and serving fresh, appetising food to a consistently high standard. A Front of House Supervisor will support the operation and take responsibility for placing orders and other front-of-house duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, cook and present food to a high standard
- Follow the agreed menus, recipes and portion controls
- Ensure food is ready for service at the required times
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Follow allergen, food safety and health and safety procedures
- Complete temperature checks and other required kitchen records
- Check deliveries and store ingredients correctly
- Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when supplies are needed
- Reduce food waste and use ingredients responsibly
- Work positively with the Front of House Supervisor and wider site team
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen
- Is confident preparing and cooking food independently
- Has good knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and safe working practices
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage a busy food service
- Takes pride in the quality and presentation of their food
- Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team
- Holds a recognised food hygiene qualification, or is willing to complete one
