Bar & Waiting Staff
The Spotted Cow – Elwick Village
Part-time | Approx. 12–30 hours per week
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking person to join our team at The Spotted Cow.
This is a varied role covering both bar and waiting duties, so we’re looking for someone who’s happy getting stuck in wherever needed and can keep smiling when things get busy!
The role will include:
- Serving customers on the bar
- Taking food and drink orders
- Serving meals and clearing tables
- Making and serving a range of drinks
- Handling cash and card payments
- Keeping the bar, restaurant and customer areas clean and tidy
- Restocking and general cleaning duties
- Providing friendly, efficient customer service
- Working as part of the team during busy services
- Helping with functions, events and busy seasonal periods
What we're looking for:
You’ll need to be reliable, punctual and flexible, with a good work ethic and a friendly personality.
Good customer service skills are really important to us. We’re a village pub and want every customer to feel welcome, whether they’re popping in for a quick pint or joining us for a meal.
You must also be:
- Able to work evenings and weekends
- Flexible with your availability, as weekly hours will vary
- Punctual and dependable
- Clean, tidy and well presented
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Friendly and confident when dealing with customers
- Willing to learn and help out wherever needed
Previous bar, hospitality or customer service experience would be great, but the right attitude and reliability are just as important to us.
Hours
Approximately 12–30 hours per week, depending on the needs of the business.
Shifts will vary and will include evenings and weekends, so please only apply if you can genuinely be flexible with your availability.
