Job Overview
We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Line Cook to join the kitchen team at The Harper Hotel in Norfolk.
You don’t necessarily need to have held the title of Chef de Partie previously. We’re interested in hearing from experienced cooks who are confident running a section, producing consistently high-quality food and working effectively as part of a busy professional kitchen.
This could be an excellent next step if you already have solid kitchen experience and are looking to continue developing your career.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking dishes in line with the hotel’s menus and standards
- Setting up and maintaining your section ready for service
- Ensuring dishes are prepared consistently and presented to a high standard
- Working efficiently during busy services
- Supporting the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef and Head Chef
- Following portion, preparation and presentation standards
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Ensuring ingredients are stored and rotated correctly
- Following food hygiene, allergen and health & safety requirements
- Supporting the wider kitchen team wherever needed
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working as a cook within a restaurant, hotel, pub or similar professional kitchen
- Confidence preparing and cooking food during service
- Good knowledge of kitchen and food hygiene standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- A reliable and positive approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A genuine interest in developing your skills and progressing within a professional kitchen
