As part of the Reception team you will be the ‘face’ of the hotel. Responsible for providing a high quality guest experience and helping in the smooth running of all areas of the hotel. We are looking for a part or full time member of staff to suit the right candidate and the needs of the business. The hours will be estimated to be between 24- 30 hours per week with extra hours available to cover busy periods and colleague absence.
Working with the hotel management you will attend the reception area, duties to include, but not limited to;
· Dealing with customers and general enquiries.
· Taking phone calls.
· Using the computer systems and any required software.
· Making customer bookings.
· Checking customers in/out of rooms.
· Liaising with and assisting other members of the hotel team to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel
- Check-in and check-out guests, ensuring all necessary information is obtained and recorded accurately
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to guests
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
· General administration tasks as needed.
· Handling of cash and card transactions.
- Responsible for some simple accounting, such as end of day balancing of transactions taken.
```Qualifications```
- Previous experience in a hospitality or hotel setting is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy is essential. Training on use of inhouse systems will be provided.
