Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. Duties
- Operate forklift equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and stock levels
- Handle materials carefully, adhering to safety protocols during loading and unloading activities
- Support the overall efficiency of warehouse operations by collaborating with team members and supervisors
- Conduct safety checks before operating equipment and report any issues promptly
- Work both dayshift and backshift (Monday to Friday).
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Proficiency in materials handling techniques with attention to safety standards
- Ability to load & unload goods efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes including documentation and compliance requirements
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure safety and efficiency in all operations

Initial contract will be 6 months, with an option of a permanent contract after conclusion of the 6 month contract.
Rate advertised is entry level with opportunity to improve basic pay banding.
Pay: £13.34-£15.64 per hour
