We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to inspire learners and support their educational journey. Duties
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions in functional skills such as reading, writing, numeracy, and digital literacy to diverse learners
- Assess individual learner needs and create personalized learning plans to support their progress
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage learners and enhance understanding
- Track learner progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback
- Support learners with special educational needs by adapting approaches to meet their unique requirements
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and session outcomes
- Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that motivates learners to achieve their best
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably within adult education or functional skills programs
- Experience working with children or young learners is highly desirable
- Knowledge of special education principles and strategies for supporting learners with diverse needs
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain concepts and motivate students
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, track progress, and manage records effectively
