Responsibilities
- Offer personalised support to individuals, promoting independence and confidence
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and social engagement
- Develop and implement tailored programmes aimed at skill development and behavioural improvement
- Foster a positive environment through mentoring and encouragement
- Collaborate with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of support provided
- Facilitate educational activities or teaching sessions to enhance learning outcomes
- Promote inclusion by encouraging participation in community activities and events
Skills
- Proven experience working with children or vulnerable individuals
- Strong mentoring abilities with a compassionate approach
- Ability to teach new skills in an engaging and supportive manner
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support others’ development
- Flexibility to adapt to individual needs and changing circumstances
