GPM Group Ltd are a fire door manufacturer based in Belvedere, Kent. We are seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining processes and be adept at operating various machinery. This role involves working with precision tools to manufacture and assemble components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Spindle Machine, 4 side moulder cross saw, tenoner, dovetailer etc
- Ability to read basic factory paperwork to understand project requirements.
- Ensure quality standards through rigorous inspection.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.
Skills
- Ability to operate Spindle Machine, 4 side moulder, cross saw, tenoner, dovetailer etc. (minimum 5year experience)
- Proficient in reading basic factory paperwork.
- Strong understanding of tooling used in machining processes.
- Familiarity with wood machining.
- Carpentry and wood working experienced.
- Basic mathematics skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work with both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
A SKILLS TEST WILL BE REQUIRED

Monday - Friday
6am - 2.45pm
Immediate Start
Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour
