Crystal Hotels is looking for a maintenance person to undertake general maintenance tasks in one of its hotels Bayswater.
What's your average day going to be?
Firstly, there is no average day! Each day brings its own challenges and for sure no two days will be the same. You’ll be working with the hotel manager, including housekeeping, hotel team and reception, to ensure that the bedrooms and public areas up to standard for your guests. So, you could be doing anything from changing light bulbs to repairing a leaking shower or tiling a bathroom.
What sort of hours will you work?
You will be contracted to do 40 hours a week over five days. There may also be the opportunity to earn overtime as and when required.
What skills and experience do you need?
You’ll have a good working knowledge and at least 5 years’ experience in all aspects of general maintenance including basic joinery and electrics. We are especially looking to hire someone with very good plumbing and tiling expertise If you have experience in painting and decorating as well, that’s certainly an advantage. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude, who is pro-active and able to work with minimum supervision. Work throughout the property needs to be to be of a good standard with a tidy finish.
Reference letter from previous employer is must.
