We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Country Park & Sports Ground Assistant to join our team at Stockley Park. This is a varied, outdoor role at the heart of our operation — helping to maintain our beautiful country park, keep our football pitches in top condition, and support the upkeep of our golf course.

Key ResponsibilitiesCountry Park Maintenance
· Maintain the country park to a high standard, including pathways, green spaces, and natural areas
· Carry out routine grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, strimming, planting, and litter management
· Ensure the park remains safe, welcoming, and accessible for all visitors
Football Pitch Maintenance
· Prepare and maintain football pitches to a professional standard
· Carry out pitch marking, aeration, seeding, and general surface maintenance
· Ensure pitches are match-ready and meet required safety standards
Golf Course Assistance
· Support the greenkeeping team with the day-to-day upkeep of the golf course
· Assist with mowing, bunker maintenance, and general course presentation
· Work collaboratively with qualified greenkeepers to maintain course standards
Skills & Experience
Essential:
· Proven experience maintaining football pitches to a good standard
· Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role
· Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
· Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
· Ability to operate grounds maintenance machinery safely
Desirable:
· Experience in greenkeeping or football pitch maintenance
· Knowledge of country park or natural green space management
· Relevant qualifications (e.g. PA1/PA6 spraying certificates, City & Guilds Amenity Horticulture)
