Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled team player to join our 3rd generation business established in 1964. We are seeking Plumbing and Heating Engineers to join our team and deliver top-quality maintenance, installation, and repair services across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical expertise and hands-on skills to ensure efficient plumbing and heating systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional service that keeps systems running smoothly and clients satisfied.
We offer a company Transporter Van as part of the employment package.
Responsibilities
- To be able to work as both part of a team or alone.
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves, and drainage solutions with precision and care.
- Use soldered fittings and press systems.
- Service heating systems such as boilers, radiators, pumps, and thermostats to optimize performance and safety.
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to assemble, modify, or repair plumbing and heating components efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues early and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Lift heavy equipment or materials safely while following proper ergonomic practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for client files and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Gas Safe qualification.
- Proven experience in plumbing, heating system installation, maintenance, or repair with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting system issues effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various work environments.
- Valid driver’s license with commercial van driving experience preferred for transporting equipment or materials.
- Knowledge of carpentry principles useful for system mounting or structural modifications.
- Familiarity with basic plumbing codes and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
- ASHP training can be provided to join our MSC accredited team.
