Job description
At Gourmet Coffee Bar, we proudly provide the finest quality speciality coffee and grab and go food at train stations nationwide. We are currently looking for a talented and motivated full time (or part time for the right person) barista to work at our specialty coffee outlet on Wrexham General Train Station.
This is the ideal role for an individual with an interest in coffee who is looking to develop their skills further. With various development and progression opportunities within our growing company, you can build your skills whilst having fun working with our bubbly team to serve fantastic customers great coffee.

Responsibilities:
· Providing tired travelers with an exceptional experience that they don't have to leave the station for, including preparing our own blend of coffee into espresso based drinks, providing warm and friendly customer service - an outgoing personality and positive attitude would benefit here
· Keeping a careful eye on coffee quality, stock presentation and cleanliness standards. Working with the Manager to ensure that high standards are maintained so that customers receive the best experience possible.
· Handling cash, ensuring the till is counted correctly twice a day. Taking payments from the general public using a till system and card machine.
· Preparing our range of panini and toasties as well as serving a range of delicious cakes and snacks. Thinking about stock levels and considering ways to maximise sales whilst ensuring high availability.
· Previous experience in a café environment is preferred, however for a motivated individual who is keen to learn new skills, full training can be provided.
· As the shop is located on the train station, an ability to perform well in a varying and occasionally hectic environment. Being able to think on your feet to respond to changing demand would be an ideal attribute to possess in this position.
Required Skills and Qualities:
· Prior café experience would be highly advantageous
· Ability to get to Wrexham General Railway Stations for 5.30am (so please check this before applying!)
· A friendly and outgoing personality would fit well in the role, positive outlook is key
· Ability to multi-task
· Experience within the coffee sector, ideally working with speciality beans -Knowledge of the basics of extraction is highly desired.
· A genuine interest in learning more about coffee, we can provide training and growth opportunities to those excited to learn
· Quick and efficient
· Self-motivated
· Fluent English language skills, particularly speaking and listening
· Weekend availability
