Overview
Old Course Ranfurly Golf Club is looking for a passionate and driven Greenkeeper to join our existing greenkeeping team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual to develop their skills and further their career within the industry.
The successful candidate should have proven experience as a Greenkeeper and be able to work under pressure while responding proactively to the varied requirements of a busy golf club. They will need to demonstrate a keen eye for detail, an excellent work ethic, and a genuine passion and drive for continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Reporting directly to the Head Greenkeeper, the successful applicant will be required to work weekends on a rota basis. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment, is essential.
Established in 1905, the club is a key part of the local community. We continue to invest in course development and modern machinery, enabling us to maintain a high standard of presentation and provide a challenging and enjoyable experience for all golfers who play our course.
Preferred Skills and Requirements
SVQ Level 2 minimum (Level 3 preferred)
PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates preferred but not essential
Minimum of 2 years' greenkeeping experience
Knowledge of modern machinery and practical experience in its maintenance
A strong understanding of health and safety within greenkeeping
An interest in golf would be advantageous
Chainsaw qualification desirable but not essential
