We restore baths, shower trays, worktops, tiles, flooring, doors, UPVC, stone, wood, metal and many other surfaces. Our repair-first approach helps customers save time and money while avoiding unnecessary replacements.
We are looking for an experienced Surface Repair Technician who takes pride in their workmanship, delivers excellent customer service and wants to develop their career within a successful and supportive organisation.

Your Responsibilities
As a Field Technician, you will:
- Complete high-quality cosmetic repairs across a wide range of materials and industries
- Accurately colour-match, fill, finish, spray and restore damaged surfaces
- Inspect each repair and complete detailed before-and-after photographs
- Maintain accurate job sheets and supporting documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers, site managers and office staff
- Provide practical solutions based on each customer’s requirements
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles to a professional standard
- Attend ongoing training to develop your skills and technical knowledge
- Identify potential additional repair opportunities while attending sites
- Work confidently both independently and as part of the wider team
- Represent Surface Magic Repairs professionally at all times
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least one year of professional surface-repair experience
- Understand SMART repair, colour-matching and spray-finishing techniques
- Be confident using hand tools, power tools and specialist repair materials
- Produce consistently high standards of workmanship
- Have excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Be able to complete job sheets and administrative records accurately
- Communicate confidently in written and spoken English
- Take pride in delivering excellent customer service
- Be reliable, professional and comfortable working independently
- Contribute positively to our company culture and team environment
Essential Requirements
- A full, valid UK driving licence
- The ability to commute to our Bolton base
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites as required
- Previous professional surface-repair experience
