Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality precision components. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficient fabrication of parts, ensuring they meet strict specifications and quality standards. Duties
- Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on job specifications.
- Operate CNC milling machines and other equipment to produce parts with precision and efficiency.
- Interpret technical drawings, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, and SolidWorks models to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools and measurement devices to verify quality.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize performance and maintain tight tolerances.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime.
- Handle materials safely, including loading raw materials into machines and managing finished products for assembly or storage.
- Collaborate with team members in fabrication, assembly, welding, and materials handling processes to meet production goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machines, particularly milling equipment, in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks and programming logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, tooling setup, and materials handling.
- Basic math skills for measuring dimensions, calculating feeds and speeds, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Knowledge of hand tools, measuring instruments, and safety procedures relevant to machining operations.
- Experience working with various materials used in fabrication processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
