To assist in a busy kitchen. The successful applicant will have some experience of this environment and have the enthusiasm and energy to meet production quotas while managing relevant data, for EHO and of course stock levels needed and sales projections. Also time will be divided between production and sales to give a better overview of all aspects of the business.
Working hours:
Monday 8am-12pm cleaning trays, trollies, all returning from the weekends markets.
Tuesday 8am-5pm Pasta making
Wednesday 8am-5pm Making/packing Pesto
Friday 8am-5pm Ravioli making.
Either Saturday or Sunday early start selling at Markets in London.
Key Duties
Responsibilities are spread wide, from keeping a tidy ship, to being able to learn quickly and have a direct input into the production and potentially product creation/development. The day to day tasks will involve prepping and washing herbs; making and packing pesto, of which often 7-10+ are made on a weekly basis in small batches. Pasta is also made from simple ribbons and shapes, in various guises and 3 varieties of Ravioli per week. Pasta is made with extruders and bronze dies.
The job offers a real opportunity to learn about food production for the thriving Farmers Market sector. The successful applicant will have some experience in catering , have a deep love of food, with the passion of creating amazing results.
