About the Role
We are looking for reliable and motivated Weekend Machine Operatives to join our dry pet food manufacturing team at our Pencader site.
This is a hands-on role working across key areas of production, including extrusion, mixing/grinding, and packing operations (Concetti/autoline equipment). You will play an important role in ensuring efficient production, maintaining high-quality standards, and operating machinery safely.
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rotating weekend shift pattern:
Shifts rotate weekly between days and nights
Contracted hours: 24 hours worked per week
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor production machinery including:
Ensure product quality meets required standards
Carry out basic machine checks and report faults
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times
Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to meet production targets
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred)
Experience operating machinery (extrusion, packing, or mixing equipment desirable but not essential – full training provided)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable and flexible approach
