Academic Support Worker
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Academic Support Worker to join our Marketing and Professional Development team. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential in a higher education environment. This is an hourly paid role which is linked directly to timetabled sessions (approx. 5-10 hours per week which can vary based on the needs of the role).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to an academic colleague within a classroom context.
Provide support to students with a range of needs.
Assist students in navigating university life, including attending lectures, managing schedules, and accessing resources.
Work collaboratively with academic staff and support services to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
About You:
Experience working in a support role, ideally within an educational setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
