SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT INTERN
Location: Notting Hill, London
Commitment: 2 days per week
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 8–12 weeks,
U n p a i d internship
Expenses: Reasonable lunch expenses provided
Aimee Joyce London is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and highly organised Social Media & Content Intern to join our small team in Notting Hill for two days per week.
This is a hands-on educational placement offering an insight into how an independent British luxury fashion brand develops its social-media presence. Working closely with our founder and small team, you will gain experience across content planning, filming, editing, storytelling and performance review.
Our content brings together the finished collections and the life of the brand behind them—from fittings, craftsmanship and garment details to boutique life, founder-led conversations and candid moments with the team.
We are looking for someone with a natural eye for beautiful, engaging content who can understand the refinement of a luxury brand while also capturing moments that feel personal, honest and spontaneous.
THE PLACEMENT
Activities may include:
- Supporting the planning of content for Instagram, TikTok and Stories
- Helping to identify natural filming opportunities throughout the working week
- Capturing candid behind-the-scenes footage in the boutique and studio
- Filming founder-led content, team moments, garment details and boutique activity
- Assisting with content around fittings, stylist appointments, collections, launches and events
- Editing short-form videos for Reels, TikTok and Stories
- Adding subtitles, opening titles and music in keeping with the brand
- Helping maintain a consistent visual identity across fonts, graphics and video treatments
- Supporting the preparation of captions, hooks and story text
- Researching relevant social trends, cultural conversations, sounds and content formats
- Organising raw footage, edited content and creative assets within the shared drive
- Updating the social-media planner with ideas, filming requirements and publication status
- Recording basic results such as reach, views, watch time, saves and engagement
- Helping the team consider what worked, what did not and what should be tested next
- Assisting with occasional product photography and simple visual content
- Supporting other appropriate creative tasks as part of the placement
As a small independent brand, no two days are exactly the same. The successful applicant should be adaptable, observant and comfortable capturing both planned content and unexpected moments as they naturally happen.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Previous professional fashion experience is not essential. More importantly, we are looking for someone who is:
- Currently undertaking a relevant UK-based further- or higher-education course that requires an industry placement
- Creative, visually aware and genuinely interested in social media
- Confident filming vertical content on an iPhone
- Familiar with TikTok, Instagram Reels and Stories
- Comfortable using CapCut, Canva or similar editing software
- Able to recognise the difference between polished brand content and candid founder content
- Organised, reliable and punctual
- Proactive and willing to contribute ideas
- Comfortable working closely within a small team
- Careful and respectful when filming clients, garments and private appointments
- Discreet around confidential fittings, designs and business conversations
- Interested in British fashion, luxury, craftsmanship and independent brands
- Keen to learn how content can support both brand awareness and commercial growth
A sensitivity to typography, music, composition and storytelling would be particularly valuable.
WHAT YOU’LL GAIN
You will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in:
- Social-media planning for an independent luxury fashion brand
- Short-form video production and editing
- Founder-led and behind-the-scenes storytelling
- Instagram, TikTok and Stories content development
- Luxury brand tone of voice and visual identity
- Content capture during fittings, appointments and boutique activity
- Organising and maintaining a professional content library
- Understanding social-media performance and applying the learnings
