ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent our newest being our brand new site at Bridge. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability, safety and efficiency of our operations.
About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving machinery, equipment and site facilities. This is a hands‑on role where you will minimise downtime, ensure compliance, and support continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns to keep operations running efficiently.
- Diagnose and repair electro/mechanical machinery and production equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, in line with H&S regulations and company procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records, complete documentation and support audit requirements.
- Carry out general site and building maintenance, including contractor coordination where required.
- Support training of production teams and promote safe, effective equipment use.
What You’ll Bring
- Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent) and 17th Edition electrical qualification.
- Proven experience in a maintenance role within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of health & safety, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Experience maintaining machinery, equipment and site facilities.
- Knowledge of COSHH/CDM (F‑Gas desirable).
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and a hands‑on approach.
- IT literacy and ability to maintain accurate records.
