Now Education are working with secondary schools in Nottingham that are looking for Cover Supervisors to join their bank of staff for the next academic year (2026/2027) for consistent support with school absences.
The role is ideal for staff members that are looking to gain experience with a view to becoming a teacher. You must work well with challenging behaviour.
Duties of the role will involve:
- Supervision of the pupils in care
- Carry out pre-prepared exercises due to staff absence
- Ensure all work is completed to a very good standard
- Effectively manage pupil’s behaviour using the schools behaviour and safeguarding polices
- Build rapport with your students and create an engaging learning environment
- Liaise with both students and staff members
To apply for the role, we are looking for:
- Experience of working with children in the education sector
- Cover Supervisor role experience is desirable but not necessary
- Experience and knowledge of behaviour management
- Strong communication skills
- High expectations of the pupils in your care
- A real passion for education
We offer induction training to all new staff members. They are between 2-3 hours in duration and will take place at our office in Nottingham. You will be invited to attend after the registration process with Now Education.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and/or training and will be offered work on successfully passing Now Education’s compliance checks. You will need to have an Enhanced DBS on the update service to work in schools. There is a cost of £49.50 if you need to apply.
