Clinic Assistant / Receptionist – Lexden Chiropractic and Back Pain Clinic
We are looking for a part-time Clinic Assistant / Receptionist to join our small, friendly and professional team at our Lexden Clinic.
The role is 18 hours per week, including daytime, evening and Saturday morning shifts on a rota basis. The role will generally involve set working times, although flexibility is required to provide holiday and sickness cover when necessary.
About the Role
The main responsibility of the Clinic Assistant / Receptionist is to provide a warm, professional welcome to our private patients and ensure they receive an excellent experience throughout their visit. You will also provide essential support to our Practitioners and the smooth running of the clinic.
Duties will include:
- Welcoming and assisting patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Dealing with patient queries and providing information about our services
- Booking and managing appointments
- Responding to enquiries by telephone, email and social media
- Taking payments and handling transactions accurately
- Carrying out general and specific administrative tasks
- Supporting the Practitioners with the day-to-day running of the clinic
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring information is accurate and up to date
- General housekeeping and cleaning duties as required
About You
The successful candidate will be friendly, approachable and confident, with excellent customer service and communication skills. You will need to be able to quickly understand our services and processes and be comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
You will also need to:
- Have previous customer service and/or reception experience
- Be confident learning and using new IT systems
- Be comfortable working across two computer monitors and using multiple systems
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be organised, reliable and able to multitask effectively
- Have a good eye for detail and accuracy
- Be professional and approachable when dealing with patients
- Be willing to undertake general housekeeping and cleaning duties when required
- Be flexible and able to provide additional cover for holidays and sickness
Previous experience within a healthcare or clinical environment would be advantageous, although a positive attitude, willingness to learn and excellent customer service skills are equally important.
