Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to oversee and coordinate complex projects within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring seamless integration across various departments. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of ERP systems, including SAP and Oracle EBS. The Contract Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving project success while maintaining alignment with organisational goals and supply chain logistics.
Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of contractual projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and establish clear objectives.
- Utilise ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to monitor project progress, manage resources, and generate reports.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to secure favourable terms and minimise risks.
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to facilitate smooth project operations from inception to completion.
- Develop comprehensive project documentation, including risk assessments, progress reports, and post-project evaluations.
- Manage stakeholder communications effectively to ensure transparency and alignment throughout all project phases.
- Identify potential issues proactively and implement corrective actions promptly to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous agreements.
- In-depth understanding of logistics processes and supply chain management principles.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are desirable but not essential.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
