The Opportunity
In this role, you will be the backbone of the production floor, monitoring, testing, and maintaining the chemical solutions, anodising baths, and plating tanks to ensure they always meet stringent aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Chemical Analysis: Perform routine testing, titrations, and analysis of chemical processing tanks to ensure optimal operating parameters.
- Data Logging & Documentation: Accurately record test results, maintain laboratory logs, and assist with quality control documentation.
- Solution Maintenance: Safely handle and calculate chemical additions required to adjust and correct processing solutions.
- Compliance Support: Ensure all laboratory activities align with strict NADCAP, ISO 9001, and AS9100 quality management standards.
- Health & Safety: Maintain an immaculate, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
What We Are Looking For
- Educational Background: A background in Science or Chemistry (A-Level, BTEC, or Degree equivalent) is highly advantageous, though strong practical experience will also be highly valued.
- Meticulous Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and accuracy when measuring, calculating, and logging data.
- Manufacturing/Industrial Awareness: Prior experience in a manufacturing laboratory, plating shop, or quality control environment is preferred but not essential.
- Proactive Attitude: A strong willingness to learn specialized aerospace specifications and chemical processes.
