Due to continued growth and expansion, MAC Engineering & Welding Services Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated Fabricator / Welder to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
Established in 2009, we are a fast-growing family-run engineering company working with some of the UK's leading transport and commercial operators across the bus, truck and construction industries.

Our work takes us across the UK, supporting customers with:
- Fabrication & welding
- Bus and commercial vehicle chassis repairs
- Structural steel repairs and modifications
- Garage equipment repairs and installations
- Health & Safety installations
- Engineering support
- On-site servicing and repair work
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone with:
- A minimum of 3 years' fabrication and welding experience (less experience may be considered for the right candidate)
- Experience working with MIG welding and fabrication techniques
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (preferred but not essential)
- Engineering or mechanical experience (desirable but not essential)
- The ability to work independently, use their own initiative and work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality workmanship
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confidence using Windows-based tablets, Microsoft Office and other digital applications
- A Full UK Driving Licence
- The Right to Work in the UK
Desirable Skills
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
- Hydraulic or mechanical engineering experience
- Experience carrying out on-site repairs
- Experience working on commercial vehicles or garage equipment
Training will be provided where required.

Applicants must be within commuting distance of our workshop.
The role will primarily be workshop-based, with occasional travel to customer sites throughout the UK when required.
Applicants must be willing to work away from home on occasion. Accommodation and reasonable expenses will be paid by the company.
Working hours may vary depending on workload and customer requirements.
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (Employed)
Pay: £13.00–£18.00 per hour (depending on experience and reviewed based on performance)
