We have an exciting new vacancy for a Late Bar / Night Porter to join our team at The Grand Burstin Hotel in Folkestone.
This superbly located 481-bedroom hotel overlooks Folkestone's picturesque harbour and is just a short walk from the town centre and Folkestone Central train station. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving drinks and providing excellent customer service in the hotel bar.
- Preparing and closing the bar in line with company procedures.
- Welcoming late-arriving guests and assisting with check-ins and check-outs.
- Running the night audit using our internal hotel systems.
- Responding to guest enquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
- Conducting regular security walks throughout the hotel.
- Ensuring public areas remain clean, tidy and presentable.
- Setting up and clearing function or meeting rooms when required.
- Replenishing bar stock, glassware and preparing the bar for the following day.
- Following all night shift procedures and supporting other departments as required.
The ideal candidate will have previous hospitality, bar or customer service experience and be confident working during the evening and overnight. You will be reliable, organised and able to remain calm under pressure. Experience with hotel reservation systems, including Opera Cloud, would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
