The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Clean Slate administration team as a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice. You will become a key part of our busy and supportive office, playing an essential role in keeping the business running smoothly.
You’ll learn a wide range of skills—from customer service and office coordination to payroll, invoicing, recruitment, and health & safety administration—gaining real experience while working toward your Level 3 qualification. Dedicated study time is provided within your working week.
What You’ll Be Doing (Full training provided)
Office & Customer Support
- Answering calls and emails in a polite, helpful manner and directing queries appropriately.
- Handling confidential information responsibly.
- Ensuring the office is tidy, stocked, and running efficiently (e.g., milk checks, stationery, induction packs, loading the dishwasher, topping up tea/coffee, maintaining kitchen areas).
- Supporting daily, weekly, and monthly office tasks including fire alarm tests, post runs, and filing.
- Welcoming visitors to the office and ensuring a professional, friendly environment.
Administration & Data Management
- Maintaining task boards to ensure critical jobs are not missed.
- Creating new starter packs, ID badges, and employee files.
- Managing deliveries—checking, recording, and documenting goods received.
- Backing up systems daily and maintaining organised filing systems.
- Preparing reports and updating spreadsheets relating to deliveries, stock, and the vehicle fleet.
- Completing electronic and paper-based admin tasks accurately and on time.
Finance & Payroll Support
- Assisting with customer invoicing.
- Handling bank reconciliation tasks and entering customer receipts accurately.
- Supporting payroll processes, updating planners, and understanding payslips.
- Coding invoices correctly and helping maintain accurate financial records.
- Entering supplier invoices and supporting the creditor process.
Recruitment & HR Support
- Completing company inductions for new employees.
- Processing new starter booklets and supporting onboarding tasks.
- Managing cleaning vacancy adverts and updating Indeed listings accurately.
Health & Safety Administration
- Ensuring vehicle check sheets, MOTs, and services are monitored and recorded.
- Updating exceptions reports and actioning any outstanding training needs.
- Creating and updating health and safety site files.

Some of our apprentices have been promoted on completing their apprenticeship, which depends on there being a suitable position at that time. All of our other apprentices have used the detailed knowledge and experience gained with us to gain suitable permanent work elsewhere.
