This is an exciting opportunity to lead a young and energetic team in one of the Highlands' most popular activity centres. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and administrative skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to motivate others to perform at their best.
The role will involve weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of a 37.5-hour working week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of approximately 20 staff, ensuring high standards are maintained across all areas of the business.
- Create and manage staff rotas to ensure efficient staffing levels and excellent customer service.
- Produce regular reports and complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Help organise the daily operation of the business, ensuring smooth and effective running throughout each shift.
- Communicate confidently with customers in person, by telephone, and by email.
- Manage bookings and customer enquiries.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor completion to company standards.
- Motivate, coach, and support a young team, helping them develop and perform at their best.
- Manage customer feedback and reviews professionally.
- Carry out stock takes and assist with stock ordering.
- Oversee cash handling and end-of-day cash-up procedures.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the facility.
- Assist with social media content and promotions to drive engagement and sales (training can be provided).
- Work closely with the management team to ensure the business operates efficiently and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience in a supervisory, management, or team leader role.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Experience creating staff rotas and managing schedules.
- Confidence producing reports and using Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and staff.
- A proven ability to motivate, manage, and develop a team.
- Strong customer service experience.
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Experience with social media platforms would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

This is a maternity cover position expected to last approximately 12 months, although the duration may vary depending on the circumstances and return date of the current post holder
