Here at Sansom Civil Engineering we are seeking an experienced ganger who is a capable and reliable individual who has a keen eye for detail and a high standard of health and safety.
This role involves working and running a 4-5 man gang on a Severn Trent sewage treatment works. Proven experience in the following areas is essential:
- Working with and installing temporary works such as man hole boxes, slide rail systems and cofferdams to a high standard
- Strong knowledge of pipelaying including ductile, plastic and MDPE (fusion welding) also be able to install and bench manholes
- The use of a CAT and Genny to a high standard
- Laying electrical ducting, drainage, waterpipe
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams to consistently meet deadlines safely
- Previous experience on treatment works/water industry is highly desirable
- SSSTS or equivalent is desirable
For the right candidate, this opportunity offers long-term work along with a company van and tools provided.
Hours are 7-5 Mon - Thurs, 7-3 Fri.
Overtime on weekends is available as and when, paid at 1.5x
Wages will be paid through CIS
