We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Apprentice to join our dynamic Planning Department at our Witton Plant near Aston, Birmingham. Working alongside experienced professionals and reporting to the Business Planning Manager for the facility, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while completing a recognised apprenticeship programme.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Planning Apprentice, you'll be involved in a wide range of operational and planning activities, including:
- Supporting the flow of materials through production by raising purchase orders and processing subcontractor work requirements
- Coordinating transportation and shipments to ensure production schedules stay on track
- Managing inventory records and material movements within our SAP ERP system
- Supporting stock control activities, including issuing and maintaining production cards
- Assisting with scrap and swarf management, coordinating processing schedules and transport arrangements
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with company standards and compliance requirements
- Working closely with planning, production and logistics teams to support business objectives
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing fresh ideas
What We're Looking For
We're seeking enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and develop. You'll ideally have:
- A minimum of A Level at CCC and a minimum of GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Mathematics
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility and professionalism
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
