Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of publishing, editorial, design, multimedia, and communication projects. The Project Manager will be the primary operational contact for project stakeholders and will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage multiple publishing and communication projects simultaneously.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communication.
- Develop project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks and dependencies.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed specifications and quality standards.
Editorial & Production Coordination
- Coordinate editorial, copyediting, proofreading, design, and production activities.
- Oversee typesetting and layout development for print and digital publications.
- Manage creation and delivery of web-optimized and print-ready PDFs.
- Ensure proper preparation and archiving of InDesign packages and project assets.
Design & Multimedia Coordination
- Coordinate publication design, illustration, and visual communication projects.
- Manage production of infographics, data visualizations, animations, and presentations.
- Coordinate video production projects, including motion graphics deliverables.
- Liaise with designers, multimedia specialists, printers, and external vendors.
Quality & Delivery Management
- Monitor project quality throughout the production lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to editorial, branding, accessibility, and production standards.
- Support continuous process improvement and workflow optimization.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, Publishing, Multimedia Arts, Communication Design, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing publishing, editorial, creative, or multimedia projects.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.
