We are looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team. This role would suit someone who is passionate about early years education, enjoys working as part of a supportive team and is committed to helping children thrive.
About the role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will help provide high quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will support children’s learning, development and wellbeing through positive relationships, engaging activities and a safe, inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
Plan and provide creative, age appropriate activities that support children’s development
Create a safe, clean, welcoming and inclusive environment
Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
Observe, assess and record children’s progress
Support children’s personal, social and emotional development
Work as part of a team to maintain high standards across the nursery
Contribute ideas and take part in continuous improvement of nursery practice
Essential requirements
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education or equivalent
Good understanding of the EYFS framework
A caring, professional and positive approach
Strong communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable requirements
Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
Paediatric First Aid training
Safeguarding training
Salary and benefits
Salary up to £33,000 per year, depending on experience and qualification level
