We are seeking a reliable and conscientious Cleaner to provide a high-quality domestic cleaning service to patients, staff and visitors, ensuring a clean, safe and hygienic environment in line with agreed specifications.
The role supports both patient and non-patient areas and contributes directly to maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control.
The Role
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within designated areas, following work schedules, service level agreements and approved cleaning methods.
- Respond promptly and effectively to ad-hoc cleaning requests, ensuring minimal disruption to patients, staff and visitors.
- Carry out the cleaning of isolation rooms on patient discharge, including HPV and UV cleaning processes where trained.
- Collect, handle and remove clinical and non-clinical waste safely and in line with Company procedures and Trust policies.
- Ensure cleaning equipment, stock and supplies are stored safely and maintained at appropriate levels within the designated area.
- Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly in accordance with training and instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality, privacy and dignity at all times in line with the Data Protection Act and Company and Trust policies.
