As a Volunteer Fundraiser, you will play a pivotal role in securing the resources Blossom Group needs to expand its services and reach more people. You will help us build and diversify our income so that we can continue to deliver programmes that restore dignity, build community, and open doors for people on the margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify suitable fundraising opportunities, including individual donors, community fundraising, corporate partnerships, trusts, and foundations
- Develop and deliver fundraising campaigns, events, and appeals that reflect Blossom Group’s values and voice
- Build and maintain relationships with supporters, donors, and community fundraisers
- Manage and grow our individual giving pipeline, including regular donors and one-off contributions
- Support the development and stewardship of corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
- Work with the leadership team to create compelling fundraising communications across digital and print channels
- Track, record, and report on fundraising activity, income, and outcomes
- Represent Blossom Group at fundraising events, networking opportunities, and community gatherings where appropriate
- Contribute to the development of a longer-term fundraising strategy
What We Are Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience in fundraising, income generation, or a closely related field
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, engage, and build trust with a wide range of people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage your own time and priorities
- A genuine commitment to community, inclusion, and social justice
- Confidence using digital tools including email, social media, and spreadsheets
Desirable
- Experience working with or fundraising for grassroots or community-led organisations
- Knowledge of fundraising platforms such as Enthuse, JustGiving, or Salesforce NPSP
- Understanding of the communities Blossom Group serves — including South Asian, African, and Caribbean diaspora communities in East London
- Multilingual skills
