Lincolnshire Field Products Ltd is a grower and packer of vegetable products. We farm around 15,000 acres in South Lincolnshire, close to Spalding. Our crops are mainly Brassicas, Potatoes, Cereals, Pumpkins and Sugar Beet. Our vegetables are supplied to the major food retailers.
We are looking for an additional person to join our team in the position of Fork Lift Operator operating a counterbalance fork lift and loading/unloading harvested product and other deliveries coming into site.
Collation of orders using scan guns is essential, as well as a good level of reading and speaking English. Previous experience of using scan guns is necessary.
This is a full time position. Hours of work will be Sunday to Thursday between 06.00 - 15.00. However a flexible approach to working hours is required to meet the demands of the factory operation, including overtime hours.
Own transport is essential as there are no public transport links to our premises. Free car parking is available. Dependent on the seasonal tasks, the candidate may be required to work at our Whaplode site (3 miles away), for a temporary period .
The possession of a counterbalance fork lift licence is essential, however refresher training can be provided

The main duties will include:
· Ensure that product is stored within the factory coldstores in a safe and hygienic manner
· Provide safe operation of fork lift equipment adhering to company safety rules and procedures
· Ensure that the correct product is picked and outloaded according to customer/depot requirements
· Adherence to company outloading procedures
· Ensure Fork lift trucks are replenished with gas at the end of each shift in a safe manner..
· Ensure that forklift trucks are checked daily and maintained for safe operation and that any defects are reported immediately to the Supervisor. Ensure that pre-shift check sheets are completed.
· Ensure that no keys are left unattended in fork lift equipment. Ensure seat belts are worn.
· Ensure that the warehouse cold stores and outloading areas are kept clean and tidy.
Person Specification:
· Possession of a valid Fork Lift Truck Licence
- Experience of using scan guns and order collation
· Experience of Fresh Produce and pre-pack/factory environment/Warehouse
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Possess excellent communication skills
· Be thorough and methodical in approach to tasks
· Reliable and punctual in attendance.
