Purpose of the Role
This role is intended to provide practical day-to-day support across operations, design, sales, and marketing within CG Surface Design (Complete Graphics). The position takes ownership primarily of the design and operation aspects of the customers journey. You will be expected to keep client communication moving, ensures workshop handovers are clear and well prepared, contribute on design tasks and supports sales follow-up activity, that all improve efficiency.
The role will ensure the smooth running of projects by communicating with our clients and suppliers and assisting with various administrative duties. You will ensure each project is administrated accurately, handling tasks such as invoicing, data entry on CRM and finance software, obtaining design briefs, design team liaison, design and artwork file production, to ensure the operational aspects linked to the project are met.
You will be held accountable for the customer experience and smooth communications across the company relating to the project.
The role will require a meticulous eye for detail, to create and deliver a successful project, meeting the client's specifications within the companies' ability.
Primary tasks include:
Design and Production Coordination
- Take ownership of the creation of client artwork from written or verbal briefs, producing professional design concepts and production-ready artwork using Adobe Illustrator.
- Interpret client requirements and translate them into accurate, commercially appropriate design solutions.
- Prepare, proof and finalise artwork for manufacture, ensuring files are technically correct, brand compliant and suitable for production.
- Manage the design approval process, liaising directly with clients to present concepts, incorporate feedback and secure approvals.
- Ensure all artwork meets the required standards for quality, accuracy, sizing, spelling, layout and production specifications.
- Work closely with the production and installation teams to ensure seamless handover of design information and efficient project delivery.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of CGSD's in-house design capability by maintaining high standards of creativity, technical accuracy and consistency.
Operations & Project Coordination
- Own the operational administration of projects from deposit through to completion, ensuring all project information is accurate, up to date and accessible.
- Maintain accurate records across CRM and finance systems, ensuring project, customer and financial data is complete and current.
- Prepare quotations, invoices and supporting documentation for approval and issue.
- Coordinate project schedules, meetings, installations and internal resources through effective calendar management.
- Produce comprehensive job packs and workshop documentation, ensuring production teams receive clear and accurate project briefs.
- Monitor project progress, proactively following up outstanding actions to maintain delivery schedules and client expectations.
- Act as a key point of communication between clients, suppliers and internal teams, ensuring information is communicated professionally and efficiently.
2 years experience in graphic design or degree qualification essential.
