We are looking for an energetic, strategic, and highly organised Head of Sales to step into this pivotal role for a maternity cover.
The Role
As the Head of Sales, you will keep our sales engine firing and lead our talented events teams across all 6 of our unique sites. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role that blends high-level strategy with hands-on leadership.
You will ensure that sales targets are met, group bookings are maximized, and our reputation for executing flawless events is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Oversee and inspire the events teams across all 6 sites, providing guidance, setting targets, and ensuring consistent, premium customer service.
- Events & Weddings Management: Maintain a deep understanding of the wedding and large-scale events market to ensure our offerings remain competitive, attractive, and seamlessly executed.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Act as the vital bridge between sales and operations. You will work closely with Operations Managers and Head Chefs to align sales strategies with execution, particularly when coordinating menu changes and bespoke event packages.
- Reporting & Strategy: Monitor sales pipelines, track KPIs, and report directly to senior leadership on group performance.
Work Pattern & Travel
This is a hybrid role offering a mix of remote working at the venues and time spent at our Manchester Head Office.
However, staying connected to our venues is key to this role's success. You will be expected to visit all 6 of our sites on a bi-weekly basis. Because of this regular multi-site travel, having a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential.
About You
We are looking for a collaborative leader who thrives in a buzzing hospitality environment. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven Hospitality Sales Experience: A strong track record in a senior sales or events role, ideally within a multi-site hospitality or venue group.
- Wedding & Event Expertise: A solid, comprehensive understanding of how weddings and premium events operate from initial enquiry to on-the-day delivery.
- Exceptional Communication: The ability to build strong relationships, negotiate smoothly, and communicate effectively with everyone from central ops managers and executive chefs to brides and corporate clients.
- Adaptability & Drive: The organisation skills required to manage a hybrid schedule and a split-site team without letting standard slip.
