Sales/Counter Assistant
We are a family run Timber Merchants that has been established in Penrith for over 170 years, supplying timber and associated goods, bathrooms and kitchens to both the trade and general public. We pride ourselves on giving quality goods and services.
We are looking for a Sales / Counter Assistant to work within a busy environment of our Timber Merchants, with this position you will be pro-actively building connections with current and new customers, this may be in person, over the phone or by email, providing expert advice, preparing quotes, developing new leads and following up on enquiries. To assist with maintaining well stocked displays/shelves along with supporting colleagues within the branch.
The roll will be 37½ hours per basic week, with a rota'd Saturday morning.
The right person will need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, previous sales experience would be beneficial however training will be provided, maintain sharp attention to details at all times, excellent communication skills, good time keeping and show genuine enthusiasm to work well within a team.
A competitive wage will be offered depending on experience.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
