Job Title: Inspector / Audatex Assessor
Salary: £32,724.00 per annum
Location: BCA Thurleigh
Working Hours: Any 5 in 7 days, Monday to Friday 09:30am to 6pm, but Weekend work on occasion may be needed at either overtime or a day off in the week

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Inspector / Audatex Assessor works as part of an experienced inspection team, focusing on Audatex assessments, transport damage quotations and site damage reviews. When not completing assessments, you will support the wider inspection team by carrying out cosmetic inspections on arriving vehicles and identifying required cosmetic repairs.
This role requires a professional, positive, “can‑do” approach and strong collaboration with wider teams and key stakeholders across the site.
Role Duties:
- Carry out cosmetic inspections — identify cosmetic damage, missing parts and repair requirements.
- Complete Audatex and damage assessments — produce accurate transport damage quotes and site damage reports.
- Maintain accurate records — ensure all systems and documentation are updated correctly.
- Support daily workflow — work efficiently to meet deadlines and support team throughput.
- Quality check images — review images before publication to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Communicate effectively — keep management informed of issues and participate in team briefings.
- Ensure H&S compliance — maintain safe working practices for yourself and others.
- Other ad‑hoc duties as required.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Audatex capability — qualification desirable; training provided for the right candidate.
- Automotive inspection experience — background in automotive retail, vehicle merchandising or inspection advantageous.
- Attention to detail — strong accuracy in inspections, assessments and documentation.
- Communication & teamwork — confident working cross‑functionally with a positive, energetic approach.
- Fast‑paced working — able to meet deadlines and maintain quality in a target‑driven environment.
- IT capability — confident using Microsoft Office and bespoke company systems.
- Flexibility — able to support overtime during busy periods when required.
- Full UK Driving Licence (minimum two years), able to drive manual, automatic and EV vehicles.
