Join Our Team: Warehouse Stock & Forklift Operator
Are you an experienced forklift operator with a sharp eye for detail and a proactive mindset? We are expanding our warehouse stock team and looking for an enthusiastic, health-and-safety-conscious individual to help keep our operations running smoothly.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our supply chain, ensuring that our premium interior and exterior home improvement products are safely unloaded, accurately counted, and securely stored ready for our customers.
The Role
This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires a mix of machinery operation, physical fitness, and inventory management. You won't just be moving boxes; you will be handling everything from heavy pallets of flooring to long, awkward profiles like 3-meter decking boards and wall panels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machinery Operation: Safely and efficiently operate both Combilift and Counterbalance forklifts to maneuver standard pallets and long-length loads throughout the warehouse.
- Stock Control: Conduct regular, accurate stock counts and assist with inventory audits to ensure our system records match our physical stock.
- Manual Handling: Safely handle, lift, and move stock by hand when required, ensuring products are stored securely and without damage.
- Process Improvement: Actively look for ways to work smarter. We want someone who brings fresh ideas to the table to improve warehouse efficiency, storage solutions, and workflow.
- Health & Safety: Champion a safe working environment. Ensure all gangways are clear, stock is stacked securely, and all daily MHE (Material Handling Equipment) checks are completed to standard.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is physically fit, highly organised, and thrives in an active warehouse environment where no two days are exactly the same.
- Essential Licenses: You must hold valid, in-date licenses for both Counterbalance and Combilift forklifts.
- Proven Experience: A solid background in warehousing, stock counting, and manual handling.
- Physical Capability: Enthusiastic, physically fit, and comfortable with the manual handling required to shift bulky items and large profiles safely.
- Proactive Attitude: You don't just wait for instructions; if you see a better, safer, or faster way to organise a racking aisle or load a vehicle, you speak up and make it happen.
- Safety First: A strong, uncompromising commitment to workplace health and safety.
