Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Loader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading materials in a warehouse environment, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate forklifts as needed. The Loader will play a crucial part in maintaining the flow of goods out the facility.
Duties
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure accurate handling of products by following shipping protocols.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with team members to build and prepare shipments for dispatch.
- Assist in maintaining safety standards throughout the warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in materials handling or a similar role within a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Valid forklift certification is desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
