Turtle Bay Swim Academy Ltd is looking for a friendly, patient and enthusiastic Level 2 qualified Swimming Teacher to join our growing team. We specialise in private 1:1 swimming lessons, with a strong focus on water confidence, individual progression and supporting children who may struggle within traditional group swimming lessons. Many of our swimmers are neurodivergent or have additional needs, so we're looking for someone who understands that great swimming teaching isn't simply about perfecting strokes — it's about building trust, confidence and a positive relationship with the water. The role You'll deliver 30-minute private 1:1 lessons, adapting each session to the individual swimmer's confidence, ability and learning style. Current teaching opportunities are primarily: Monday evenings Wednesday evenings at our private pool near Holme upon Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire. There may be opportunities for additional hours as the academy continues to grow. We're looking for someone who: Holds a recognised Level 2 / Swimming Teacher qualification Is confident teaching children independently Is patient, positive and encouraging Can adapt lessons rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach Communicates well with children and parents Is reliable and professional Is comfortable teaching in the water when appropriate Has an understanding of water safety and safeguarding Ideally has experience with SEN, autism, ADHD, neurodivergent or nervous swimmers SEN experience is highly desirable, but just as importantly, we're looking for someone with the right personality and willingness to understand each individual child.
