About the company
Shuffle is on a mission to help great independent hospitality businesses grow.
Shuffle provides both upfront capital for the best hospitality business in the UK, and random cashback rewards for the patrons of those businesses through the Shuffle app. After a careful selection process, Shuffle invests directly into restaurants, bars, and cafes that are then added to Shuffle.
Shuffle was founded in 2023 and is live in Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh. We have invested in 160+ of the top venues in each city.
We are based in Hoxton and have raised funding so far from top tier VCs including Portage, Episode1, Jamjar, Antler, and True Ventures as well as a few angel investors. The team at Shuffle Finance is driven by four core values, which underpin our culture and the way we operate as a business:
- We don’t just work at Shuffle – we own it
- We work smarter, otherwise we work harder
- Winning is the goal, and we play to win
- Understanding others makes us stronger, sharper and better together.
We believe in building a small team of A-players: high performing individuals who drive impact.
We foster an in-person culture, with four office days each week. Wednesdays are optional for remote work, giving you flexibility while maintaining the collaboration that drives our success.

About the role
The London Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new business growth across the city with a focus on East London. You will build and execute a targeted sales plan to win new restaurant partnerships, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting and outreach through to pitching, negotiation, and close. Working closely with our central team, you’ll ensure new partners are set up for a strong launch and a productive long-term relationship.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, metrics-driven salesperson who enjoys opening doors, building trust quickly, and consistently delivering against targets. You bring strong pipeline discipline, commercial judgement, and the resilience needed to succeed in a high-activity new business role.
What you'll be doing
● Act as Shuffle’s local expert for East London, developing a deep understanding of the local restaurant landscape and representing Shuffle in the region.
● Identify, prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close top local restaurants, owning the full sales cycle from first contact through signed agreement and launch.
● Lead partner onboarding in collaboration with central teams, ensuring new restaurants are set up for a strong launch and early performance on the platform.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for restaurant partners during the initial post-launch period, maintaining strong relationships and identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and drive growth.
● Work closely with the founders and central teams to refine the go-to-market approach, using on-the-ground feedback to improve positioning, sales messaging, and partner experience.
● Coordinate with the central marketing team to support customer acquisition plans—feeding local insights, partner priorities, and market moments into campaigns.
Who you are
● 5+ years’ hands-on experience in sales, business development, or account management roles with clear ownership of targets and outcomes. Experience in a high-growth startup and/or the food & hospitality sector is a strong advantage.
● Consistent new-business performance: demonstrable track record of building pipeline and closing revenue-generating partnerships (e.g., hitting quota, improving conversion rates, increasing win rates, shortening sales cycles).
● Territory and pipeline discipline: strong experience running a structured sales process across a defined patch, including forecasting, CRM hygiene, and prioritisation of high-potential accounts.
● Local market knowledge: strong familiarity with East London’s restaurant landscape, neighbourhood dynamics, and local operators. Existing hospitality networks are a plus; living in/near either city (or willingness to travel frequently across both) is required.
● Commercial relationship builder: confident pitching to owners/operators, handling objections, negotiating terms, and building credibility quickly with a wide range of stakeholders.
● Data-driven and metrics-led: able to define activity and outcome metrics, interpret performance, and make decisions based on insight (pipeline coverage, conversion rates, CAC payback, partner activation/early performance). Familiarity with CRM and analytics dashboards is strongly preferred.
● Highly organised and accountable: excellent time management across field meetings, follow-ups, and admin; reliable on follow-through and consistent in delivering against commitments.
● Collaborative and communicative: works effectively with central teams (marketing, onboarding, operations) and keeps stakeholders aligned with clear updates, risks, and forecasts.
● Genuine enthusiasm for helping local restaurants succeed, and motivation to build a strong, sustainable presence for Shuffle in London.
